The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager – Planning, Scheduling and Master Data, the Superintendent Planning, Scheduling & Master Data (Mobile Plant) is the tactical lead for Gold Fields Australia’s mobile fleet Work Management process.

 

You will lead a dedicated team of planners, schedulers, and data specialists to ensure our surface and underground fleets—including production, ancillary, and service equipment—are prepared for peak performance.

 

This role is central to driving fleet availability and reliability by ensuring every maintenance task is expertly prioritised, scheduled, and executed to the highest corporate standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Implement and govern the mobile plant Work Management process, driving KPI performance in planning quality, schedule adherence and backlog health.
  • Lead the mobile planning team to deliver accurate work packs and weekly schedules that optimise labour, parts availability and operational priorities.
  • Manage end‑to‑end planning for mobile shutdowns and major service events, ensuring risk‑managed critical paths and proactive readiness reviews.
  • Act as custodian of mobile fleet master data and facilitate routines with Production, Supply and Engineering to align schedules and resolve systemic constraints.
  • Support budget tracking and cost control, mentor planners to lift technical maturity and drive initiatives that enhance fleet readiness and execution.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary engineering degree or an Australian‑recognised trade qualification.
  • Extensive mining industry experience, ideally within gold processing or fixed plant operations.
  • Proven leadership capability with strong coaching skills, exceptional interpersonal ability and an inclusive style that works effectively across multiple disciplines.
  • Deep understanding of Work Management processes and maintenance planning, combined with a strong commitment to safety and consistent advocacy for high‑performance safety behaviours.
