What you’ll be doing
You’ll buddy up with an experienced team of Process Operators to learn how to run different areas of the plant safely — from crushers and mills to leach tanks, elution, and control room operations.
You’ll learn to operate and maintain machinery such as IT loaders, Bobcats, and forklifts, take slurry samples, and work safely with hazardous reagents and chemicals. You’ll also get hands-on experience assisting with maintenance during shutdowns, plant cleaning, computer data entry (training provided) whilst participating in safety discussions to support a strong safety culture.
This is a 12-month employment offer with plenty of scope to grow your mining career. The role involves working in all-weather elements, manual work and lifting, and working at heights so a good level of fitness is important.
What you’ll bring
- A genuine passion for learning and a can-do attitude.
- Experience with mobile equipment or labour-intensive work advantageous.
- Current Driver’s Licence (manual C class preferred).
- Strong teamwork, communication and basic computer skills.
