Gold Fields is seeking an exceptional leader to drive value, performance, and long-term sustainability across our global asset portfolio.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and forming a key part of the COO leadership team, the Vice President Asset Optimisation will lead the strategy, governance, and execution of initiatives that maximise the performance of our mines, processing plants, and supporting infrastructure.
This role is central to delivering operational excellence, capital efficiency, and technology-enabled transformation across the Group. The role will be based in the Perth Office and will require frequent travel to our domestic and international Assets.
In this role, you will lead the development and execution of a Group-wide asset optimisation strategy to maximise production, cost efficiency, and free cash flow. You will drive value through a balanced focus on stabilisation, optimisation, and transformation, while establishing a consistent asset performance framework to enable reliable, predictable delivery.
You will also lead targeted improvement initiatives across productivity, reliability, and process optimisation, and champion the use of digital and advanced analytics to enhance performance. Your experience includes successfully leading complex, multi-site transformation programs bringing strong commercial acumen, underpinned by a deep understanding of mining value chains. As a visible and credible safety leader, you are comfortable influencing at an executive level.
You are degree-qualified in Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related mining discipline, and bring extensive senior leadership experience within the mining or resources sector, with a proven track record in asset optimisation and operational excellence.
