- Key coordinating role responsible for the operation and maintenance of surface and underground fixed plant equipment at the owner-operated St Ives Gold Mine.
- Ideal for an experienced underground maintenance tradesperson with strong fixed plant exposure in a mining environment.
The Opportunity:
In the role, you will maintain, operate, collaborate, and deliver as part of our Mine Maintenance team at our owner-operated St Ives Gold Mine. You will support the safe and effective operation and maintenance of surface and underground fixed plant equipment to ensure reliable production outcomes across the mine.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Current manual driver’s licence
- Trade qualification relevant to underground maintenance (Mechanical/Electrical or similar)
- Experience in a similar underground maintenance or coordination role
- Exposure to fixed plant equipment in surface and/or underground environments
- Strong safety focus with the ability to lead by example
About the Role:
- Lead and ensure full compliance with OHS and Environmental Management Systems, including toolbox meetings, investigations, audits, training, PTO/TOPS observations, and embedding safety into procedures and work orders.
- Manage and develop team performance by setting SMART objectives, conducting regular and annual reviews, holding employees accountable for non-compliance, and applying Gold Fields policies consistently.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to build a high-performance, engaged workforce and support continuous capability development.
- Oversee work management in SAP, including approval of work notifications, backlog/forward log control, supervisor execution of scheduled and unscheduled work, and adherence to the Maintenance Management Framework.
- Monitor, review, and optimise maintenance and plant performance through KPI reporting, SAP data analysis, weekly planning meetings, and regular communication of safety and performance results.
