Graduate Electrical Engineer 1st Year

The Opportunity:

As part of the Gold Fields Graduate Program, you will complete rotations across four sites over a two-year period, including Agnew, Granny Smith, Gruyere, St Ives, and (where relevant) the Perth office. Throughout the program, you’ll work alongside members of our highly experienced technical team, gaining hands-on exposure to the gold mining environment. You’ll develop and demonstrate a set of core competencies, ensuring well-rounded capability across all key areas. This program offers genuine, real-world mining experience and the opportunity to see how your foundational university studies translate into practice.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Current manual driver’s licence.
• Completed your Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Process Control or similar by end 2026.
• Vacation experience in a mining environment is ideal, but not essential.

• Contribute to energy improvement initiatives to enhance long-term sustainability and efficiency across site infrastructure and equipment.
• Improve plant reliability through effective downtime analysis, root cause investigation and critical spares optimisation.
• Deliver production outcomes through disciplined planning, accurate interpretation of technical documentation and strong team collaboration.
