What You’ll Do

Support the delivery of your site’s environmental business plan, aligned to ISO 14001, regulatory requirements, and group objectives.

  • Develop and implement site processes aligned with internal policies and external obligations.
  • Identify environmental risks and lead preventative and corrective actions, including emergency preparedness planning.
  • Oversee data integrity and reporting, and help translate findings into tangible, site-based improvements.
  • Support the capability development of the environmental team through coaching and on-the-job learning.
  • Oversee, lead and assist to manage the environmental team and contractors, with a strong focus on safe work.
  • Help manage and plan environmental schedules, permitting & approvals, budgets and cross-functional deliverables.
  • Contribute to internal and external environmental communications, with guidance from your Manager Environment.
  • Take the lead on key environmental deliverables, such as closure cost estimates, rehabilitation plans, strategic plan delivery, regulator engagement and environmental compliance.
  • Provide coverage for the Environmental Manager when required, via Site Leadership Team representation.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • A visible and values-driven leader, respected for your ability to influence across all levels.
  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science (or equivalent).
  • Individuals with strong working knowledge of environmental legislation in Western Australia, systems including ISO 14001, rehabilitation planning and execution, environmental data analysis and internal Gold Fields processes.
  • Collaborative problem-solver who want to drive environmental performance at site.
