As part of this commitment, reporting to the Senior Engineer: Mine Production you will facilitate the safe and optimal extraction of gold from underground mining operations. In compliance with site standards, you will be responsible for drill and blast designs and short-term scheduling in line with short-to medium-term plans.

This role can be offered as residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie or Fly in Fly out from Perth on 8 days on 6 days off roster. Bus transportation is offered to and from site for residential candidates and relocation assistance will be offered to the successful candidate if required.

What You’ll Do:
- Play a role in guiding the mine to success by developing and implementing 2-weekly production plans that align the mine to its mid and long-term plans..
- Contribute to continuous improvement through your analysis of stoping performance and optimization of dilution and recovery.
- Liaise with the operational and technical teams for short to medium-term schedule implementation.
- Apprising the Underground Manager of issues that may affect safe and efficient production through frequent communication in an appropriate manner.
- Be organized and prepared to undertake additional/alternative responsibilities as reasonably requested by the Senior Engineer or Underground Manager.
Who Are We Looking For?
- An autonomous, driven, and safety-conscious individual who is willing to share knowledge with others
- Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering, or a related discipline
- Proven underground hard rock engineering experience, with drill and blast design, preferably gold.
- Be team-oriented.
- Demonstrated exposure to drill and blast design software is essential, preferably Deswik.
- Invested in future skills within mining, be willing to mentor vacation and graduate engineers.
