Senior Process Operator

• FIFO from Perth | 8/6 days, 7/7 nights rotating roster at Granny Smith

The Opportunity

As a Senior Process Operator (2IC / Leading Hand), you’ll be hands-on ensuring smooth operations of the processing plant, whilst providing vital support to the Process Shift Supervisor in safely meeting processing targets.

You’ll lead shift troubleshooting, mentor Process Operators, and drive recovery targets in-line with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Significant mineral processing experience (preferably gold), ideally at a 2IC/Leading Hand level
• Strong knowledge of gold processing operations and experience across the full circuit (crushing, grinding, CIL/CIP, gravity, adsorption, elution & electrowinning, tailings management, etc)
• Strong experience operating and monitoring processing equipment and control systems, as well as proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
• Leadership skills with ability to coach and mentor others
• Uncompromising commitment to safety, respect, responsibility and collaboration
• Statutory Supervisor Certificate (S26) is advantageous
• Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP and database management
• Valid manual C Class Driver’s Licence

About the Role:

• Support and provide coverage for the Process Shift Supervisor, when required
• Assist with training and mentoring less experienced Process Operators
• Promote a strong safety culture and living our Vital Behaviours
• Safely operate, monitor and optimise plant and equipment across all processing areas
• Conduct inspections, troubleshoot and respond to plant and equipment abnormalities
• Complete operational checks, log-sheets, reports and maintain production data
• Coordinate daily work activities and delegating tasks to Process Operators
• Work collaboratively with Metallurgy and Maintenance teams to optimise performance and achieve targets
• Identify improvement opportunities to improve team efficiency and capability
