This is a Permanent Full Time FIFO role from Perth, offered on 8 days on, 6 days off roster.

 

Your role:

Reporting to the Senior Geologist: Mining at Agnew, you will be responsible for providing quality mine geology services and working collaboratively with the broader Mining Team to maximise return from the operation.

 

This pivotal role involves mentoring a team of Mine Geologists, implementing efficient mining methodologies, and delivering precise geological data to guide our mining strategies.

 

  • Guide and develop Mine Geologists to boost team performance and engagement.​

  • Collaborate with technical teams to implement mining methods that reduce dilution and optimise resource recovery.​

  • Provide accurate geological models and reports to inform management decisions on production and budgeting.​

  • Design and oversee exploration programs to extend the Life of Mine and enhance resource reserves.​

  • Manage grade control and near-mine exploration drilling activities.​

  • Conduct detailed mapping and reporting to build a comprehensive geological knowledge base.​

  • Maintain and refine geological and structural models, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.​

 

About you:

 

You’ll bring a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach, along with:

 

  • Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology

  • Solid experience in an underground production mining environment

  • Experience in geological modelling with exposure to resource estimation

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and mining software such as Datamine and Leapfrog

  • Possess a valid manual Driver’s Licence
