The team at Agnew Gold Mine have an opportunity for a Leading Hand Electrical to join their team.
Role Details:
Reporting to the Coordinator: Electrical, you will be responsible for planning and supervising high quality maintenance and installation of electrical infrastructure on a wide variety of heavy equipment as used in the mining operations.
This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

About the role:
- Lead the day to day activities of the electrical team inclusive of contractors on a cost-effective manner, assuring awareness of performance targets, access to the necessary tools to achieve these and that their activities are aligned within company targets
- Support the maintenance and installation of surface and underground fixed infrastructure and communication systems: leaky feeder, digital drift, high voltage & low voltage underground infrastructure, mobile equipment, and primary and secondary pumping/ventilation.
- Maintenance and repairs of RCT remote bogging/guidance systems.
- Ensure minimal disruption to production through ready access to critical parts, equipment, and service providers
- Provide ongoing in field, hands on leadership and mentoring for the Electrical team
- Develop and maintain training and development plans for the team
- Ensure compliance of work management system
- Demonstrate full compliance with the OHS and Environmental Management System standards by assisting with the implementation and participating in initiatives, regular meetings, investigations, and training.
About You:
- Demonstrated leadership, performance development experience within a mining environment
- WA A-Grade Electrical License plus HV switching ticket and experience in this field is essential.
- Electrical Nominees license is desirable and understanding of statutory requirements
- Experience working with comms and new technology systems
- Short Term Planning Experience would be desirable.
- SAP & AMT knowledge would be highly regarded
- Valid Driver’s license
