Paste Fill Supervisor

Role Details:

Reporting to Unit Manager: Underground Mining, you will be responsible for overseeing Paste Crews on daily basis, operating and maintaining the paste plant, QAQC of paste fill samples, and assistance to underground crews, when necessary, with quality and timely underground mining support service.  

This role is offered on 8 days on and 6 days off roster and would be FIFO from Perth or residential for the local community.

Duties of the role:

• Display a high level of knowledge and proficiency in supervising paste fill infrastructure installation and underground mining operations.
• Proven understanding about the paste fill infrastructure, surface, and underground.

• Contribute and support the delivery of training to the crew enabling skill development
• Maintain a working knowledge of all task instructions & procedures ensuring that these are consistently adhered to in the operation of the mine, training personnel and ensuring that they are competent prior to complete works.
• Actively coordinate with Underground Mining to ensure required assistance is provided to achieve Paste Filling.
• Coordinate with the scheduling team to ensure all Paste Fill tasks are captured in weekly/monthly plans.
• Actively undertake regular stock takes of inventory/material (paste pipes, valves, cement etc.)
• Undertake tasks as instructed or directed
• Appraise Mine Management for issues that may affect safe and efficient production through frequent communication.

About You:

• Prior experience with Paste Fill activities including supervisory and underground mining exposure
• Collaborate and innovate with the team to deliver to the plan

• Have sound understanding of a paste plant and underground machinery/infrastructure
• Valid driver’s license
• Working at Heights card
• S26 Supervisor Certificate required
