Role Details
Reporting to the Senior Engineer: Production, you will facilitate the safe and optimal extraction of gold from underground mining operations.

This role is offered on an 8-day on/6-day off roster and is fly-in/fly-out from Perth or Drive-in/drive-out from the Goldfields region.

About the role:
- Develop and implement short-term schedules, ensuring they are in line with the operational targets of the monthly and quarterly production plans
- Design of stopes and subsequent drill and blast plans to maintain minimal dilution and maximum recovery
- Collaborate, implement, and record mine information to ensure safe and economic target delivery
- Reconciliation of mined plan versus the actual to identify improvement areas
- Interact with all members of the technical and operational mining team and ensure goal unity through concise communication
- Actively identifying risks and threats to safely achieve targets and develop, establish, and manage programs to ensure risk elimination/minimisation
- Apprising the Senior Engineer of issues that may affect safe and efficient production through frequent communication in an appropriate manner
- Enhancing the capability of the business to achieve improved performance and growth by actively contributing to business and cultural improvement initiatives, encouraging team members to participate, and identifying barriers to goal achievement
- Undertake additional/alternative responsibilities as reasonably requested by the Senior Engineer: Production
- Facilitating the Lean and Short-interval control meetings
- Departmental data management
About you:
- Completed qualifications in Mining Engineering and/or equivalent
- Underground engineering experience, with exposure to all production phases, preferably gold.
- WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency, or the ability to obtain
- Exposure to contract mining environments
- Experience using Microsoft Office and mining software such as Deswik
- Valid Manual Driver’s License
