Your New Role
Reporting to the Senior Geologist – Mining, you’ll play a critical role in delivering mine geology services and collaborating with the Mining Team to maximise operational performance. You’ll lead and mentor a team of geologists, champion best-practice methods, and help shape strategic decisions through accurate geological insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and support Mine Geologists to build a high-performing team
- Collaborate across technical teams to implement mining strategies that reduce dilution and improve recovery
- Deliver high-quality geological models and reporting to inform operational decisions
- Design and lead near-mine exploration programs to support Life of Mine extensions
- Oversee grade control and drilling activities
- Maintain and update geological and structural models in line with mine strategy
About You
You're a proactive and collaborative geologist who thrives in underground mining environments. You communicate effectively, lead with integrity, and take pride in delivering quality geological insights that drive performance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science (Geology or related discipline)
- Experience in underground production mining
- Exposure to geological modelling and resource estimation
- Proficiency with Datamine, Leapfrog, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid manual driver’s licence
