About the Role

As a key leader within the geology team, you will be instrumental in driving safe, efficient, and data-informed geological practices. Reporting to the Superintendent: Mine Geology, you’ll lead people and processes to ensure optimal gold ore production, support ongoing resource development, and embed a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of geologists and contractors to deliver on daily plans while meeting operational and safety targets
  • Driving team performance by providing accurate, predictive geological models to maximise recovery and minimise dilution
  • Overseeing and enhancing grade control reconciliation processes (daily to annual)
  • Championing near-mine and in-mine exploration programs to support Life of Mine extension and resource growth
  • Ensuring the integrity and reliability of geological mapping, modelling, and reporting systems
  • Applying strategic insight and technical expertise to reduce geological risk and improve model confidence
  • Fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence in geological operations

About You

You’ll also bring:

  •        Proven leadership capability with experience motivating high-performing geology teams
  •        A degree in Geology or a related discipline
  •       Strong background in gold mining, with expertise in mine geology, grade control, resource estimation, and extensional exploration
  •       Proficiency in Microsoft Office and geological software (e.g., Datamine, Leapfrog)
  •       A passion for safety, continuous improvement, and building a performance-driven culture
