Role Details:
Gold Fields Australia is currently seeking a Senior Engineer: Projects to join their Mining Department at Agnew Gold Mine. Reporting to the Manager Mining you will be responsible for the effective management and supervision of business partners (contractors) and projects related activities on site to enable achievement of the budgeted capital projects portfolio, meeting all quality standards including cost, safety, and environment.

This role is offered on a 4 days on, 3 days roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

About the role:
-
Ensure project functions are adequately supported by coordinating all facets of projects, including developing and utilising appropriate processes and guidelines to assist in the achievement of this objective.

Managing the business partners (contractors) at the Agnew Underground complex.

Critically analyse all aspects of the business partners’ work to ensure that emerging issues are mitigated.

Develop, implement, and monitor adherence to appropriate new procedures, processes, and technology to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of projects.

Providing routine updates and ensuring appropriate levels of communication are maintained between the GSM, business partners and management/stakeholders.

Assist in the achievement of successful mining capital projects by providing expert guidance and technical input into all project scopes.

Manage the safety and financial position of all contract work including accruals, receipting, cost reporting, forecasting and variation management as well as monthly accruals.
About you:

Bachelor’s degree in mining or equivalent.

Post graduate qualification in business or project management would be highly regarded.

Demonstrated experience in contractor management.

Leadership experience, including performance development and change management.

Desirable competency in relevant software applications including MS Office, Ventsim, Deswik & SAP

Desirable to possess an FCMM statutory certificate.
