We have a great opportunity in our Emergency Services and Security team for a Site Medic to make a meaningful impact at our Agnew Gold Mine. You will contribute to our organisational effectiveness securing the optimal health & safety of the workforce by delivering First Aid/Pre-Hospital Care for site including the development, delivery and review of systems, training and provision of advice pertaining to area of specialisation.

 

This role is offered on a lifestyle friendly FIFO roster of 8 days on 6 days off roster (from Perth)

In this role you will:

  • Provide professional First Aid and Pre-Hospital care on site, including medical assessments and treatment, while supporting Injury Management for personnel on a remote site.
  • Achieve shortest possible recovery time for injured/ill personnel by delivering prompt treatment in both first aid and operational areas
  • Maintain strong knowledge of underground and surface mining operations, haulage, mineral processing, and shared infrastructure to effectively manage emergency response scenarios.
  • Train and develop Emergency Service Volunteers by planning and coordinating skills maintenance, first aid, and ERT field scenario training.
  • Contribute to emergency response services by participating in training and real-life emergency situations.
  • Develop external emergency response relationships and agreements for mutual aid.
  • Assist with updating and training on Emergency Crisis and Management processes.
  • Support the site security function when needed.

 

As part of your success, you will bring with you: 

  • Paramedical Science qualifications (essential)
  • HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (essential)
  • Certificate III in Emergency Response & Rescue or similar (desirable)
  • Competence in Closed Circuit Regenerative Breathing Apparatus (desirable)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support course (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment (desirable)
  • Experience in the delivery of Emergency Response & First Aid Training
  • Valid AHPRA Registration
  • Current Manual Driver’s License
