The Role

Gold Fields are seeking skilled Underground Heavy Diesel Mechanics to carry out planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance across our diverse fleet of heavy mobile equipment, ensuring reliability and operational efficiency across our fleet.

Located at Agnew Mine Site, 23km west of Leinster, Western Australia, this position operates on a 8 days on, 6 days off and 7 nights on, 7 days off roster with FIFO available from Perth.

About you

    • Australian recognised Heavy Mechanical Trade Qualification
    • Previous experience in mechanical maintenance in an underground environment and knowledge of mining technologies and equipment
    • Experience with Atlas M7C drills and MT6020 and MT65 trucks
    • Experience with CAT R2900 and R1700 loaders
    • Experience with Sandvik development drills DD421
    • Automotive Air Conditioning Licence
    • Valid driver’s licence
    • Previous SAP & AMT experience is desirable
