Role Details

Gold Fields – Granny Smith is currently seeking an Operator Mine Controller to join their Mining department.

 

Reporting to the Supervisor: Mine Control, you will be responsible for contributing to the effective operation of the mine from a control room situation, maximising the hour-to-hour ore/waste production, improving productivity and compliance to plan in a safe and efficient manner.

This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off, 7 nights on 7 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.

        Duties of the role:

·       Ensure that equipment stoppages and delays are recorded and provide coordination to ensure prompt action by the Shift and Maintenance Supervisors.

·       Daily support to database control and administration of the department.

·       Support supervisors and operators in achieving targets and compliance to plan.

·       Produce shift and daily management reports in an efficient and timely manner.

·       Monitor and manage the quality of operations data being captured.

·       Contribute or update procedures and documentation for the right and effective operation of the control room.

·       Serve as a central communication personnel for mine production and safety, including emergency events.

 

         About You:

         You will have:

·       Previous experience in a mining environment preferably as dispatch or mine control environment.

·       Experience in data base administration, and data base entry essential

·       Excellent computer skills and experience within PITRAM highly regarded

·       Knowledge of OHS legislative requirements will further strengthen your application.

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills. 

·       Valid Driver’s Licence

·       Senior First Aid is an asset
