Operator : Allrounder

Role Details:

Reporting to the Supervisor: Underground Production, this role is responsible for but not limited to, the operation of UG Water Cart, Grader, Bogger, Excavator, Loader, Dozer and both Surface and Underground Trucks.

This role is offered Fly in Fly out from Perth on an 8 days on 6 days off, dayshift only roster, to our Granny Smith mine site in Laverton.

About the role:

• Be organized and prepared to undertake all assigned tasks by the Supervisor
• Promote a safe working environment while complying with site OHS standards and procedures as well as participating in safety initiatives, hazard identification, tool box meetings and incident investigations where required
• Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with site environmental policies including the requirements to Control/Contain/Cleanup/Communicate all environmental spills
• Ensure production goals are achieved by working collaboratively with the mining team
• Assist the achievement of budgeted maintenance targets by operating with care, providing preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and organising the timely repair of operated equipment
• Assist to increase the skills of the mining team by providing training and mentoring of operators

About you:

• Current HR Drivers Licence
• Previous proven experience in Surface Mining production operating Graders, Haul trucks, Dozers and Excavators
• Previous proven experience with UG Trucks, Water Cart and Bogger
• Record of safe surface and underground mining practices
