Role Details

Reporting to the Senior Manager Environment, Nature & Climate, you’ll play a key role in our Senior Leadership Team, driving positive environmental outcomes and sustainable mining practices. This is your opportunity to lead environmental activities that meet current and future demands, ensuring compliance with Gold Fields’ EHS standards and fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.

About the role:

• Lead the development and execution of environmental approval applications, ensuring alignment with site strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.

• Lead environmental initiatives with a focus on compliance, best practices, and aligning with community expectations.

• Lead strategies in sustainable land management, stakeholder engagement, and heritage preservation.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to design proactive solutions that align with our environmental and corporate goals.

• Manage department budgets effectively and empower your team’s growth through meaningful mentorship to grow their skills and confidence.

• Develop, implement, and audit Environmental Management Standards, including the ISO14001 system.

About you:

• A tertiary qualification in Environment or a related field.

• Proven leadership experience in a multi-disciplinary environment.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and thorough knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.

• A passion for collaboration, innovation, and sustainability
