Gruyere Gold Mine, a Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources Joint Venture (50/50) located in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. This newly constructed mine site boasts a plant production of 300,000+ ounces per annum with an enviable production profile in excess of 10 years. Making it one of Australia’s largest and lowest cost gold mining operations.

 

Role Details:

Reporting to the Superintendent: Processing, you will be responsible for the supervision of site support services related maintenance work of all facilities and associated infrastructure to meet current and anticipated demands in accordance with Gold Fields standards whilst maintaining strict compliance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements.

This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.

About the role:

  • Manage day to day activities of the site support services team inclusive of contractors;
  • Ensure activities of the team are aligned with operational targets;
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits to ensure compliance with procedures & statutory requirements;
  • Provide technical support and advice to the team for day-to-day activities;
  • Ensure there are no environmental exceedances, if the plant/equipment is trending towards an exceedance ensure the correct measures are put in place to mitigate them;
  • Lead daily planning, scheduling and allocation of tasks through effective communication with the team;
  • Provide support services with bore field management, waste water treatment and communications facilities;
  • Provide coaching and training to ensure routine and unscheduled works are completed competently and safely by the services support team.

 

About you:

  • Australian recognised trade qualification
  • A valid Driver’s Licence
  • Prior experience with site support services (waste water and bore fields maintenance management)
  • Proven leadership experience and effective communication style
