Role Details:

With increased focused on our key global strategic pillar of Asset Optimisation, we are currently seeking a Senior Specialist: Business Improvement to join our Business Improvement Team.
 

Reporting to the Superintendent: Business Improvement at Agnew or Gruyere, you will be a key contributor in supporting the Business Improvement program growth and be an alternate representative for site leadership team duties. The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of skills in supporting strategic alignment through optimising outcomes across the value chain.

This role is offered on an 8 day on, 6 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.

About the role:

  • Facilitate a portfolio of Business Improvement initiatives and projects;

  • Deliver training and coaching in problem solving methodologies and tools;

  • Facilitate site teams across the full operational value chain for engagement of value-added solutions;

  • Lead specific improvement initiatives and support the Gold Fields Change Leader program;

  • Support the Management Operating System to required standards;

  • Ensure the integrity of analysis and reporting is maintained timely at the highest standard;

  • Support a BI culture across the workplace.

About you:

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in business, technical or commercial based disciplines, or formal trade qualifications, or extensive mining experience 

  • Prior experience in a similar role at a Senior level, ideally within the mining sector

  • Formal certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodology is highly desirable

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to engage at all levels of the organization

  • Experienced in delivering improvement projects or initiatives to desired outcomes

  • Project management expreince 

  • Demonstrated understanding of Change Management application

  • Proven ability to train, coach, influence people and facilitate teams

  • Strong analytical and systems knowledge would be advantageous
