Gruyere Gold Mine, a Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources Joint Venture (50/50) is in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. Gruyere was commissioned in 2019 and is one of Australia's largest and lowest-cost gold mining operations, boasting a plant production of 300,000+ ounces per annum with an enviable production profile of more than 10 years.
Role Details:
Reporting to the Surface Mining Manager is pivotal in ensuring the seamless management and administration of major site operational and service contracts. Be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, supporting contract owners, and ensuring the successful delivery of all contractual obligations. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that all major site services contracts are commercially viable and aligned with operational needs. You will manage key performance indicators (KPIs), resolve claims and variations, and maintain strong external stakeholder relationships. With a focus on operational and commercial risk management, you'll also play a crucial role in managing budgets and ensuring the continued success of these contracts.

This role is offered on an 3 x 4 days on, 3 day off and 1 x 8 days on 6 days off roster, or equivalent, and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

About the role:
-
Provide support by reviewing and analysing for cost improvements of major site services contracts and suppliers, including but not limited to load and haul, drill & blast, maintenance, professional services, village and flight service providers.

Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and mining operations teams, to ensure that mining services contract terms align with business objectives and manage operational and commercial risks.

Review the daily, weekly, and monthly reports for compliance and ensure the reports are integral, completed accurately, and submitted on time.

Identify and mitigate operational and commercial risks associated with services contracts, including risks related to safety, quality, delivery, and financial performance.

Support contract management system to track contract status, renewals, and obligations and ensure compliance with mining services contract terms and conditions.
About you:

Possess a completed bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, law, or a related field or equivalent experience

Existing exposure within in commercial, mine planning, and mine analyst roles is highly desirable

Extensive demonstrated experience in supporting services contract management, with experience in drafting, negotiating, and administering

Technology savvy, specifically with SAP, Microsoft, and Qliksense / Power BI

Demonstrated experience managing KPIs, claims, and variations related to services contracts, operational and commercial risks

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
