We are seeking a Lead Specialist Safety Insight to join our Sustainable Development team in a dynamic, international setting. This newly created role is part of our updated operating model, designed to enhance the global scope and impact of our business.
Role Details:
As the Lead Specialist, Safety Insight, you will develop, implement, and maintain processes, systems, and platforms that deliver reliable, actionable information to drive risk-informed decision-making across the organisation. Your expertise will be pivotal in enhancing the company’s safety culture and ensuring that all decisions are backed by accurate data, ultimately contributing to the achievement of strategic objectives and long-term success.

About the role:

Review and consolidate all incident management systems into a single platform, including standardised data mapping and field entries.

Collaborate with the Lead Specialist Safety Systems to deliver a comprehensive safety management and insight solution.

Refine the approach to serious incident reporting, investigations and establish digital platforms to enhance learning, including review and sharing processes.

Establish robust governance processes with associated assurance over the close-out of corrective and preventative actions.

Develop dashboards that provide insights into safety trends and information across the company, enabling leaders to make risk-informed decisions.

Provide reports on safety data and related insights to the Executive Committee and Safety, Health, and Sustainable Development Committee.

Establish strong controls over safety information and align reporting requirements with SOX processes.

Complete annual assurance over safety information as an input into the company’s reporting cycles.
About you:

Relevant qualifications in safety or data management.

Recent experience in data management.

Proven ability to collaborate as an integral member of a multifunctional management team.

Experience in developing and executing short-term plans that support strategy.

International experience, along with knowledge of safety management and assurance frameworks, would be highly regarded.
