Role Details:

Reporting to the Superintendent : Accounting, you will be responsible for contributing to the sustainable operations of Gold Fields through the provision of a comprehensive accounting and compliance function that meets legislative requirements.

This role is offered on a fixed term contract until November 2025, working on a 9 day fortnight roster in our Perth corporate office.

About the role:

  • Process monthly gold sales as per company policy and prepare monthly Royalty calculation;

  • Enter data into the gold stock valuation model and calculate stock values in accordance with company policy;

  • Collate Site monthly actual and forecast financial and operating results in collaboration with Site Finance team and prepare SAPBI Reports within required timelines;

  • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation as per company procedure and guidelines. Prepare monthly BAS return;

  • Maintain a capital application register (“AFE Register”) and close out capital projects promptly on completion;

  • Keep Site SAP fixed asset register updated for additions and disposals;

  • Collate and report a full Site financial Budget and upload approved version to SAP & SAPBI;

  • Contribute to the business’ compliance requirements by ensuring systems, processes, advice and outputs meet Sarbanes Oxley standards;

  • Assist external and internal auditors with all audit requirements;

  • Ongoing liaison and assistance of Site based finance teams. Visit Site at least once per quarter and provide Site leave coverage if required.

About you:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Finance

  • CPA or CA is desirable

  • Prior accounting experience

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Knowledge of SAP FICO and prior resources industry experience highly regarded
