Role Details:

Working within our Regional Geology department and reporting to the Chief Geoscientist, you will be responsible for providing specialist exploration geological support to our Australian operations.

This role is offered on a 5 days on 2 days off roster (Monday – Friday) at our Perth corporate office on a permanent basis. For this role we will consider full-time, part-time or job share options.

About the role:

  • Assist with geological terrane analysis of Australia to determine highest prospectivity regions;
  • Assist with targeting for future discoveries in greenfields and brownfields space;
  • Identify key areas within Australia for future greenfields exploration and assist with target generation within existing Gold Fields tenure;
  • Ensure geoscience excellence including geoscience dataset collection, interrogation and interpretation for Australia;
  • Interact and inform Gold Fields Business Development group of progress and targeting;
  • Provide high technical reports and presentations;
  • Build intellectual property and resources, including geological databases and industry/academia contacts.


About you:

  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) Geology Degree
  • Prior experience in a similar role with exposure to gold mineralisation systems in Australia
  • 3D modeling skills using Leapfrog
  • Research ability and presentation skills
