We have an opportunity for a Senior Manager Occupational Health to join our Sustainable Development team in a dynamic, international environment. This position was created through our recent operating model update to build on the global nature and impact of our business.
Role Details:
Reporting to the Vice President Health & Wellness, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a group framework to manage all occupational exposures as low as reasonably achievable and to mitigate occupational health risks across all assets. This requires developing and implementing a standard approach to managing occupational health risks across all assets and integrating the approach into current operating practices and systems. The deployment of an effective framework for occupational health is a key deliverable on our guarantee that everyone goes home safe and healthy at the end of every shift.

About the role:

Develop, review and refine the group strategy on occupational health with due consideration to emerging practices and ensure the implementation of the strategy at each asset;

Ensure compliance to applicable legislation through practical amendments to management systems and standardise key processes and systems for occupational health;

Work collaboratively across the group to ensure that health risk management assessments and associated plans are developed for each asset and continually refined to achieve levels of exposures that are as low as reasonably achievable;

Enhance and develop the required occupational health leadership capacity in the group as well as empowering work teams to take ownership of risk assessments and associated controls;

Assist the assets on matters related to occupational health and continually assess new approaches for applicability at Gold Fields;

Provide appropriate insights and analysis of occupational health trends within the group;

Monitor and report on the performance of occupational health programmes in Gold Fields.
About you:

Possess relevant qualifications in Occupational Health

Extensive relevant industry experience

Ideally relevant international industry experience

Experience collaborating as an integral member of a multifunctional management team

Experience developing and executing short to long-term plans supporting strategy and leading change
