This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping and driving People service delivery at Gold Fields Australia. About the role:

Reporting to the Executive Vice President People, you will join a collaborative leadership team,  responsible for leading and managing the execution of our People services and support across our four Australian operating assets and shared services in the Perth Office.

 

You will lead a high-performing team of People professionals, driving key initiatives such as operational training, employee engagement, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, Aboriginal engagement, and employee services across four Australian assets.

 

Working closely with General Managers, Senior Executives and Leaders, you will provide strategic advice, support, and coach on all aspects of operational people management. A key focus will be on enhancing the effectiveness of the Australian operational People team by streamlining processes, aligning systems, and equipping line managers with the necessary capabilities and tools. Additionally, you will ensure timely and accurate data analysis to support informed decision-making.

 

As part of the Global People Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our People strategy, ensuring alignment with operational people principles, business priorities, and long-term strategic goals

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (postgraduate qualifications are a plus).

  • Significant experience in HR leadership within a complex, multi-site, or global organisation, including site based operational mining experience.

  • Strong expertise in operational HR management and workforce strategy.

  • Proven expertise in country-specific labour legislation, industrial relations, and compliance requirements.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to align people strategies with business goals.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive organisational change.

  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Proven track record in streamlining processes, aligning systems, and enhancing HR service delivery.

  • Understands how value is created and how to integrate and align activity and initiatives.

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deliverables
