As part of this commitment, reporting to the Vice President of Metallurgy & Processing, the purpose of the role is to support and assist the Group Technical Metallurgy & Processing team (Australia, South America, and Africa) in areas associated with processing and metallurgical disciplines that are applicable globally.
This is a hybrid position based in the Perth Office, with regular travel to site required, and is offered on a 5-day on, 2-day off schedule.

What will you do?
As a senior specialist, you will:
- Develop and maintain Group-level processing-related safety processes, including critical risk identification, mitigation, and assurance.
- Support the delivery of high-quality results from process plant optimisation initiatives and projects
- Facilitate best practice identification and knowledge sharing across the business
- Establish plant performance visualisation tools and response processes
- Optimisation and standardisation in the management and use of IT systems, information, and data
- Provide management and support to operations with metallurgical training and development programs
- Develop, update, and support (including management and assurance) the group processing standards and guidelines.

What will you bring and contribute?
- Extensive technical experience in gold (preferably) mineral processing experience
- Completed a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- A relevant postgraduate degree (Master's or Doctorate) in a related technical discipline OR a proven track record in the management and optimization of operations, including gold.
- Experience working in fast-paced, agile environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Project management programs, and process plant data historians.
- Displayed knowledge of leading practices and technologies being applied in the processing disciplines.
