Role Details

Reporting to the Unit Manager : OHS, contribute to the capacity of the company to mine lawfully, meeting legislative obligations through the effective provision of an occupational health and hygiene consultancy to stakeholders.

This role is offered on 5 days on 2 days off roster (Monday – Friday) at our Perth corporate office. For this role we will consider full-time, part-time or job share options.

About the role:

  • Demonstrate full compliance with the OHS and Environmental Management Systems’ standards by developing and participating in initiatives; leading toolbox meetings; investigations; training; assisting with the implementation; and participating in and contributing to audits
  • Where required, assist in the development and/or update of site health and hygiene management plans
  • Provide sites with support in managing their health and hygiene management plans
  • Develop and present relevant occupational hygiene training material to the business
  • Champion (design and implement) a regional standardised approach to occupational hygiene
  • Research latest processes, regulatory requirements, trends and controls in Occupational hygiene and introduce to the business
  • Assist sites in submitting their occupational hygiene regulatory reporting
  • Assist sites in investigating occupational hygiene exceedances and finding suitable controls
  • Analyse trends in occupational health data to identify opportunities for improvement and proactively address outliers
  • Provide site occupational hygiene coverage when required.

About you:

  • Bachelor degree level qualification in OHS, Health Science, Occupational Hygiene or closely related field
  • Demonstrated understanding & application of relevant legislation
  • Certification in Surface Ventilation, Noise is not essential but would be highly regarded
