Role Details
Gold Fields Australia is currently seeking an Operator: Allrounder to join their Surface Mining department at St Ives Gold Mine. Reporting to the Supervisor: Surface Production, you will be responsible for providing quality and timely operator services to operate various items of equipment including but not limited to Dozer, Excavator, Grader and Haul Truck to maximise equipment utilisation and mine production.
This role is offered on a 4 days on, 4 nights on, 6 days off roster, and would require the incumbent to be residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie. OR FIFO 8 days on 6 off from Perth.

About the role:
- Be organized and prepared to undertake all assigned tasks by the Supervisor
- Promote a safe working environment while complying with site OHS standards and procedures as well as participating in safety initiatives, hazard identification, tool box meetings and incident investigations where required
- Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with site environmental policies including the requirements to Control/Contain/Cleanup/Communicate all environmental spills
- Ensure production goals are achieved by working collaboratively with the mining team
- Assist the achievement of budgeted maintenance targets by operating with care, providing preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and organising the timely repair of operated equipment
- Assist to increase the skills of the mining team by providing training and mentoring of operators
About you:
- Current HR Drivers License
- Previous proven experience in Surface Mining production operating Graders, Haul trucks, Dozers and Excavators
- Record of safe surface mining practices
- Ability to complete repetitive tasks at a consistent standard
