Role Details:

Reporting to the Supervisor: Surface Production, you will be responsible for providing quality and timely grading services to support the safe haulage of ore and waste rock.

This role is offered as residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie on a 4 days on, 4 nights on, 6 days off roster. Bus transportation is offered to and from site for residential candidates and relocation assistance will be offered to the successful candidate if required.

About the role:

  • Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance of GFA and ensures that the Vital Behaviours are adhered to at all times.
  • You must be able to cut and fill to levels, maintain clean smooth road surfaces and from drainage as required to alleviate ponding on roads
  • Ensure production goals are achieved by working collaboratively with the mining team
  • Assist the achievement of budgeted maintenance targets by operating with care, providing preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and organising the timely repair of operated equipment
  • Assist to increase the skills of the mining team by providing training and mentoring of operators

 

About you:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in Surface Mining operations operating a grader (16H)
  • Ability to complete repetitive tasks at a consistent standard
  • Record of safe surface mining practices
  • HR Drivers Licence – essential
