Leading Hand, Surface Operating

Our St Ives mine is seeking a Leading Hand, Surface Operating to join their Surface Mining team. You will report to the Surface Production Supervisor and ensure effective execution of surface mining operations to meet production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Location: FIFO from Perth or Residential from Kalgoorlie or Kambalda 

Roster: 4 days on, 4 nights on, 6 days off

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote safety culture and adherence to our Vital Behaviours values 
• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Surface Production team inclusive of contractors in a cost effective and efficient manner to meet performance targets
• Ensure teams have access to the necessary tools, critical parts and equipment to perform their roles
• Ensure minimal production disruption by maintaining good relationships with suppliers and having contingency plans in place
• Provide leadership and mentoring to direct reports, supporting performance management and employee development
• Operate equipment as needed

Requirements:

• Current HR Driver’s License
• Experience operating PC3000, 375 Komatsu Dozer, or similar equipment
• Leadership experience in surface production environments
• Knowledge of statutory obligations and relevant mining operations
• Komatsu fleet experience preferred
