Role Details:
Reporting to the Mechanical (Mobile)Supervisor at St Ives, you will be
responsible for maintaining oil and lubricants to the open pit mining
fleet as well as identifying minor defects on the equipment and
creating work requests as required, whilst also ensuring operational
targets are met in a safe, environmentally compliant, and efficient
manner.
This role is offered as residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie on a 4 days on, 3 days off roster OR Fly in Fly out from Perth on 8 days on 6 days off roster. Bus transportation is offered to and from site for residential candidates.

About the role:
- Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance of GFA and ensures that the Vital behaviours, safety procedures and policies are always adhered to
- Replenish fluids in the field and assist with the maintenance of all mobile equipment, including refuelling and lubing, identifying faults on equipment during preventative maintenance servicing as directed by the supervisor.
- Work with operations and dispatch teams to ensure that equipment servicing is completed at the optimum time during the shift with the least impact to production activities
- Maintain a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures and ensure that these are consistently adhered to when carrying out maintenance tasks, assisting colleagues to do the same.
- Complete all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties, such as requisitioning of parts and materials, processing of maintenance orders, recording of labour time, etc. through the efficient utilisation of SAP/AMT and other relevant information management systems
About you:
- Previous experience in Komatsu and Caterpillar fleets (desirable)
- Holding a valid WA drivers license is mandatory; HR preferred
- Tickets and certificates such as Apply First Aid, Crane, Dogging, EWP and Forklift are advantageous
- Good time management and organisation skills; excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
