Role Details:

Gold Fields is seeking a Trainee Truck Driver to join the Surface Mining team at St Ives.

 

In this role, you will provide timely, high-quality truck driving (haulage) services using surface mobile machinery to haul ore and waste rock under instruction. Your work will help ensure operational targets are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Gold Fields Australia (GFA) and site-specific quality and environmental procedures, as well as statutory regulations.

This role is offered on a 4 days on, 4 nights on, 6 days off roster, and would require the incumbent to be residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie.

About the role:

  • Adhere to OHS and Environmental Management Systems by participating in safety initiatives, toolbox meetings, training, audits, and investigations
  • Learn and demonstrate operational knowledge of the sections of the plant, following current training manuals and procedures
  • Assist in identifying plant maintenance needs and support Maintenance Technicians with repairs to minimise production downtime
  • Monitor reagent use and contribute productively as part of the Processing & Maintenance Team
  • Complete administrative duties associated with processing tasks, including SAP and other IT systems

 

About you: 

  • Valid C Class Manual Driver’s License (HR license desirable)
  • Strong commitment to safety and high workplace standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
