Role Details:

Reporting to the Infrastructure Coordinator at St Ives, you will be responsible for installation, Inspection and Maintenance of the Underground infrastructure.

This role can be offered as residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie on 8 days on, 6 days off, OR Fly in Fly out from Perth on 8 days on 6 days off roster. Bus transportation is offered to and from site for residential candidates.

About the role:

  •   Installing and maintaining ventilation doors and ventilation chambers
  •   Setting up primary pump stations and pipework for monos
  •  Performing dewatering system upgrades and repairs
  •   Conducting UG civil works, including escape way installations and pad pours
  •   Relocating refuge chambers as required
  • A trade background) boilermaker, concreter, carpenter) will be seen as an advantage but not essential for the right candidate.
  •   Performing dogging and rigging tasks to safely lift and manoeuvre loads
  •   Carrying out reticulation works, including paste and service lines (poly and steel)
  •   Constructing and maintaining paste walls
  •   Installing ventilation infrastructure, such as fans
  •   Operating underground cranes and other heavy equipment as needed

 

 

About you:

  •  At least 2 years underground experience is essential
  •  WA manual drivers license is essential
  • WAH, Senior First Aid and Dogging qualifications are essential
  • Rigging and crane national qualification, EWP and Handheld rock drilling (airleg) and construction project experience is highly regarded
  • Proficiency with laser levelling tools and underground measuring equipment
  •  Experience operating Integrated Tool carriers (IT) or similar underground machinery is highly regarded
  •  A strong understanding of underground services, including pump stations, ventilation systems, paste walls, and reticulation
